In an ideal world where culture is the most important thing in a society, all things taboo would be avoided. The word “taboo” usually refers to things that are prohibited or restricted. However, in some ways, things that are taboo are not all bad. In the olden days, having a tattoo is considered to be a rebellious thing. But these days, tattoos can be seen as a way to express yourself. Comparing to the olden days, modern day tattoos have taken a simpler and minimalist design rather than those elaborate retro pictured tattoos.

Using elegant yet modern minimalist lines, this collection is the embodiment of a beautiful taboo that exists in society. The dark colors represent the narrow minded society and its immature thoughts. Whereas the white lining lines represent modern society’s new way of thinking that is slowly taking over. The waved layering patterns represent each layer of society where this taboo come to exist.
